When I was a little girl I loved having tea parties - these started off with my teddies
and later with my friends
Now that I'm 17 years old nothing's changed - I still love having tea parties!
Things are slightly different now - I bake my own cakes for a start!
and can also make a great cup of tea - just ask my mum!!
As I only have another year left at school I have been making decisions on what I'd like to do for a career and decided why not do something that I love
So I've decided that I'd love to open my very own tea room (well, tea garden actually) in the South of France.
I need to be 18 to start my own business in France so this works out quite well for me finishing school etc.
Obviously, I don't have the experience of running my own business but I'm lucky enough that my mum has run her own business for the past 11 years (making and selling home accessories made from antique French linens & vintage fabrics) and she has agreed to help me with this new venture. It helps that we are all wanting to move to France of course!!
Just now we have a property in the Limousin area of France but would like to open our new venture further south in the Dordogne / Lot area. My mum plans to open a Chambre d'hote and run craft classes/holidays with me running the tea garden from April - September.
I have set up this new blog to document our journey and hope that you will join us in our search for the right property, raising the funds, setting up our business and living the dream!
You can also find us on facebook, twitter and pinterest- I do hope you will join us!
